Savage to Honda PC800

Needed!!

Opinion survey needed here. I have always been intrigued by the Honda PC800 - a different bike that seems to transcend bits and pieces of many other bike types, yet has a total uniqueness. The local dealer here just took in a '96 16k absolutely cherry, never been dropped, immaculate with a few tasteful accessories: bigger windshield, highway pegs, throttle lock, & backrest.

I'm sorely tempted. My wife, who had never ridden before tried her best to learn to ride her own bike last year. Started out with a Suzi GZ250, but with carpel-tunnel, the clutch was a problem, so she tried a Honda Helix. Was getting pretty confident with it when she hit a patch of chat in a parking lot, scooter and rider went over an embankment - two broken ribs and a kiss goodbye to any further solo riding. Savage is just not quite up to much 2-up riding. The PC800 looks & acts like it was designed with 2-up in mind.

It just that this bike is sooooooo different from the Savage. I love my Savage but can't afford to have both. If I do make this departure I'll post my 1999 pampered Savage for sale on the forum to make sure it finds a good home - that is a big IF at this time however.
